I must get some xanthan gum, dont know if the supermarkets in UK sell it but will have a search.

I haven't been here for a couple of days and just noticed the results in your signature

WELL DONE Jan :happy::happy::happy: I'm so very pleased for you.
Sainsbury's online and no doubt bigger stores than mine. White tub made by Doves. Got mine on eBay (diff brand) - no cheaper itemwise but I'd've had delivery charge wth Sainsbury. Thanks for the congrats. Only remembered to change signature few days ago as don't see them when using phone App

An amazing 4.7 pre dinner and not happy with that ... too low for my liking. Never been that level B4. Light lunches (put it down to one avocado to blame for 3 consecutive days and that's it) and have to build that up.

Morning to all of you :) MD :)

Hi Mike

Don't discount the possibility of a statistical outlier on the meter - did you retest? I've had a low of 4.5 (allegedly) and a few more in the high 4s recently which is fine by me.

5.9 here, a bit higher than I'd like but it's a long game.

@Mike D I really wouldn't worry. That reading is good providing you felt OK and is nowhere near hypo. Did you know that our insulin resistance improves as the day goes on? Our pre-evening meal readings should be the lowest of the day. Mine certainly are, and it doesn't seem to matter what happened at lunch time, they are still my lowest. So be happy and celebrate!

Hi SJ

Seems a little low to me and maybe, more lunch? Too much of a drop in too quick a time.. Sleep well

Mike :)
Printed this off website when I first got my meter. In all cases it shows ideal preprandial range as starting from 4. Hope this eases your mind. Also you've been putting a lot of effort into getting your bs down so changes are happening quicker for you reflecting this

Hi guys.
I didn't take a reading last night but its been about 13 hours since I ate and this morning I was 10.4. I haven't been prescribed any meds and although I have no details I know my HBa1C was "high".
Any advice on what to eat today?
(I've been bad and not eaten anything yet cos I'm busy at work)

Welcome to the forum. Have a browse around some of the "newbie" threads and you'll find a wealth of info. Also have a look at the low carb forum and you'll find a thread called "what have you eaten today" which will give you some good pointers.

Why the headbang? 5.9 is fine......
I had just got used to seeing numbers at low 5's and even below 5. Have i become hypersensitive....its easier to tell others not to be...i guess we are harder on ourselves..thanks..Sable Jan

5.5 this morning which I will gratefully accept, since last night's meal was chicken with dumplings and chocolate cheesecake. I don't make a habit of such excess, but it's nice to get away with it occasionally.

7.3 this morning and got chest drain back cause more fluid has appeared in plural space. Feeling rough this morning not had much sleep:-(
...........In front the mighty sea, behind Pharaohs army, they were surrounded by mountains on both sides, yet they escaped and crossed on dry ground.

I find if I'm calorie deficit I go into the 4's after a few days as well, equally too high a calorific intake and I'll go into high 5's.
So I don't worry as I know why I'm down there, (or up there) and it ties up to my meter average, and my HbA1c as well.

Having said that, it levels off, and I don't think I've ever seen less than a four on anyone (including me) that I've tested though.

Lost meter( remembered where I'd put it eventually) so I was up and about being busy before testing at 6.1 pre breakfast. Post breakfast 4.7!!

If by busy you mean dashing round m and s and trying on a new jacket, then yes. Didn't buy it as I don't need it and hope to be thinner again soon so came away with just some big girl control pants as I've a party at weekend and the new smaller dress is great bar the fact my remaining stone and a bit to shift seems firmly welded to the stomach area.

I'd definitely call that busy  horrendously so. Really hate clothes shopping - planned that is. If I get the urge to browse while I'm in Sainsbury's wth 25% off Tu am ok :D
Enjoy the party - not keen on those either . I'm not a bore, honest

Late on parade again...someone will give me lines to do lol
6.5 fasting
5.8 pre dinner:)
