Congrats and well done on both fronts only putting on 2lbs and getting it off so quickly.

I shall see true result of my 5lb gain over festive season on Sunday.

Wish me luck lol

6.0 at bedtime (average 5.3)
6.0 fasting

I had pan fried lambs liver and bacon last night. Last time I had this I was also high at bedtime, and correspondingly higher than normal fasting. The fasting is to be expected with going to bed at 6.0 as I usually have much the same reading. Does anyone else have lamb's liver and notice this?

6.5. Starting with a cold. Typical as I have a do in Manchester tomorrow night and while the husky voice is ok, the red itchy nose isn't a winning look.

4.1 this morning, though I perhaps had not dried hands enough! All my readings this week have been below 5, so pleased I have overcome the christmas and new year blips. Have also nearly lost the pounds I put on too. LCHF really does work - won't be telling my doctor that though, somehow I don't think she'd agree....

Have a great weekend everyone x

That's a good result.

You should tell her though.
It's the only way things will change.

Thank you Douglas99, I think it will be a slow process. I saw her after Christmas about something else, she asked how my levels were (at least she bothered to ask) and I told her I was worried that my fasting levels had been elevated over christmas. Her response was that it's because I am diabetic and nothing to do with what I'd eaten or drank. It's a shame they just want to treat the symptoms not the cuase

A neat 3.7 for me this morning.

Yesterday I ended up eating very late, as I had an unexpected visitor and we ended up sorting out the world; as y'do. Actually, it was great to have a big catch up (read gossip) and to hear about her travelling plans for 2015.

Today I have a couple of deliveries coming; one of which is being tracked to arrive 12:42 - 13:42, and names the driver. How good is that? I also have to upgrade the delivery options for something else I ordered yesterday as it's projected delivery date range could be a little close for comfort for travel - especially as the thing weighs 21kg and will need a bag of it's own. I know from past experience, I may have to actually make a bag for the thing, so arriving 48 hours before travel could be a smidge neat.

It's a lovely sunny, but chilly day out there today. A nice day for a stroll.

Interesting, I tried that for a while a few months ago and didn't notice any difference.

6.4 this morning , wondering about that batch of strips again (314072) although they haven't given me trouble up to now. That 6.4 was an average of 6.3, 6.8, 5.5, 6.9
