Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Interesting, I tried that for a while a few months ago and didn't notice any difference.

6.4 this morning :banghead:, wondering about that batch of strips again (314072) although they haven't given me trouble up to now. That 6.4 was an average of 6.3, 6.8, 5.5, 6.9 :banghead::banghead:
@sanguine you'll end up with a hemorrhage if you don't stop ;)

I found that batch a bit iffy at times but not as bad as the one ending in 26 which seems to require me to scrub my fingers raw to get a reasonable fasting.

I'm on that batch @sanguine , and can't say I've found any real problems. I'm about to order enough for around 6 months, so whatever I get, I'm just going to have to suck it up and go with the scores. To be honest, I was absolutely fine doing that last time. At least whatever score is being returned, I can base my trends on the same batch.

(Silver lining and all that. :))

I'm finding batch 26 a bit iffy. Not every tub though, just the odd one.

I've had some really weird impossible readings with some of the strips .. Like 12.1 and then I rewash hands and it's 5.2... It's worse first thing for the fasting one as I think my hands sweat a bit in bed and it seems to require a full hand scrub before I get a sensible reading, especially if I take the blood from close to the side of my nail. I know they say look for trends, but it is hard to spot one when you get a few erratic readings.

It becomes difficult if you have to re-test and get completely different results on 3 or 4 tests. Any one of them could be the right one, although a 12.1 is a bit OTT I've stopped re-testing now unless it's a really ridiculous number (I got a 3.5 the other day :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: ) but it can make a mockery of the rise or fall.

5.7 after fasting!!! That's the first time I dropped below 6 in the morning! :D

This happened to me shortly after I was diagnosed. Use the test solution to check if it is working correctly. If the results are not within tolerable range, and it's not because of the wrong code, expiration dates, or something similar, contact the customer service. They'll replace your meter for free. :)
I now test the meter every time I open a new pack of strips, to be sure it's correct.

Think it is just these strips tbh. Several of us have had issues. I've had dodgy batches before.

Your punishment has been left on your profile page Pavlov lol. It's bad getting up hyperglycaemic, feel very sleepy and no energy
