4.9 on waking. Waiting for my eyes (blurry during the day but not constant) to keep up to the lower numbers.

Have a great day guys and girls

My eyes get blurry as well.. I've just been to the eye specialist who tells me there is nothing wrong with my eyes... Do we know what causes it? Or helps it? It seems to come and go with no reason that I can see.. pardon the pun...

Well.....5.4 at bedtime and 5.4 fasting!!
Kept my strips under the duvet again
Interesting while on my date last night, ended up going for an Indian, I did a quick test before eating and was 5.8 ( had just had a decent walk to get there) I knew I wasn't going to have rice or naan.....pedantic me as ever! I had:
A poppadoms (yikes!!) Yogurt and mint to dip
Lamb rogan Josh
Mushroom bhaji (not in the coating kind, mushrooms in a dish with dressing/spices?)
2 hrs 5.9
3 hrs 5.4 !!
Pretty fine evening all round actually ; )

AndBreathe has started a thread for people with codefree - 44 I think seems to be the problem...

Cool...

6.1
That's up from my normal fives and that no doubt is the lemon meringue pie with ice cream that I fell for around 7pm last night.
The thick dollop of cream I insisted having on top saved me from being even higher I reckon.Still .... nothing of any concern there though.

7 the last two mornings but overall just over 6.

Glad to know you get your eyes checked Mike. I am starting to feela bit better everyday. A friend is giving me a lift to church this morning which will be great

Metformin at Midnight, Testing Fasting Blood
Day 1..Day 2..Day 3..Day 4..Day 5..Day 6..Day 7..Day 8....Day 9...Day10
.4.9........4.8.......5.9......5.0.......5.6.......5.4.....5.7......5.8.......5.9.......5.6

Today ......Average 5.46 fast on test. Looking at these averages does not seem to be making any difference, it is disappointing, the original Averages was based on 77 readings.

Normal Average Fasting 5.353 mmol/L since 28 Oct 2014 (not including above readings)

Slight improvement today, tested after washing hands 5.9 washed hands again 5.6 I have taken this one.

Early readings 4.9 & 4.8 when I first changed the time I took the Metformin & thought this looks interesting, The jury's out.

l will continue.

This is supposed to be Metformin at Midnight, went a bit wrong yesterday fell to sleep before midnight in front of Telly awoke at 1.30am so had to take it then, with 1 x 'Baby Bel' and Water, as it says take with food, went to bed 1.38am. Up at 8.30am.

5.8 today with the batch ending in 44. Kept them under my pillow all night which seems to have helped.

5.9 again this morning, still tired after last week's travelling I guess although it seems like a delayed reaction. Dinner out (Italian) last night, 5.6 before which is a bit high for me, had a G&T, mussels in a champagne and cream sauce, chicken with veg, shared a bottle of Chianti, cafe affogato (vanilla ice cream with an espresso poured over it, only had a small amount of ice cream), a coffee and finally a whisky. Well it was a celebration . Still in the restaurant 2 hours after starting and when we got home I forgot to test at bedtime so I've no idea what that lot did.

My Codefree batch 44 has behaved itself since tea time last night. No rogue readings, and all as expected.

I have mentioned before that I rarely see a liver dump overnight. The only time I do is when I go to bed with a reading in the 4's. Despite sleeping deeply and well, my liver does not like me that low overnight and returns me to the 5's, which I believe to be my normal natural levels. This happened last night, although it dumped a bit too much!!!

Bedtime 4.7 and 4.8
This morning 5.7 and 5.8
