Looking that way, & now Trudie's eat fat army are on the case the word is spreading. lol... do you think there might be light at the end of the tunnel with the NHS and LCHF at last?

Rod, this is what happens to me also, I saw my GP about it in December and he said it was either diabetes (??) Anxiety or hormones!! It was then he said to finish the packet of forxiga i had then try without, which is why I went meds free mid January, I am still waking around 3 or 4 am, suddenly, thumping heart beat and feeling hot!5.8 this morning, still waking early with thumping heartbeat.
Fasting this morning was 5.7 just higher side of my usual- just tested now on batch 44 and first was 7.5 (!! I never see that these days!!) And second 6??? I've had my regular meals and at the moment about 20gm max carbs so that's not the reason, 44 strikes again! !

I will pop over and add mine tomorrow then @bluetit, will look back at the past few days! It's very annoying as we stick to our usual intakes, don't do anything different and now my averages are totally s queued of course! You need to record these anomalies on AB's thread as she is gathering evidence before she contacts them, I think.
Annoying isn't it.

It doesn't happen in the daytime CE- yet he had hormones as the last cause!!That' sounds more like the menopause than anything .. Apparently palpitations are very common symptom of it. Mine have improved bar the ones on waking - if I could work out how to stop dreaming I'd be fine !

Well I've had this and not had this during the time I've had diabetes, I'm not hormonal and I'm not on medication, so it's presumably anxiety, conscious or subconscious. I'd be more anxious if I had no clue what it was about, at least I know how to address it. I don't feel hot with it though. It also seems to follow a particular theme of dream.Rod, this is what happens to me also, I saw my GP about it in December and he said it was either diabetes (??) Anxiety or hormones!! I've also tested in the night and as yet never had a low! I'm seeing the dn on Monday to see how I'm doing meds free so will mention this is still happening, some nights I can't settle back to sleep at allI do sometimes wonder at GPs. I suffer from anxiety so do get them at other times , but the night ones were/ are different. I tested a few times in case I'd had a low but never picked one up, though of course I may have been on a rebound by then. My GP suggested a thinner nightie as I can't take HRT due to family breast cancer risk.
Not just me then - mixing threads that isHow strange... it will be interesting to see what the next one is... at the risk of mixing the threads again (crikey, I'll be knitting a blooming sweater next), what are you eating for breakfast?
