Yesterday I think I spiked through the roof for no reason. (symptoms, not tested to confirm)
I'm T2 and if I don't look after my diet I can easily go hypo. You shouldn't be getting hypos if you're T2 on diet only any more than I should, the liver would kick in with some glucose if you were going too low (and 4.4 isn't that low). Just the weird week and your system getting used to lower BGs I would guess.
I'.ll take your 4.8 but you can keep you ten kilometer run. OK4.8 and looking forward to a nice 10k run this morning.
6.6 mmol/L after the run. Don't knock it until you've tried it! Interestingly, before this year I was never able to run 10k, but after switching to a LCHF diet I found I am able to and it's quite enjoyable. Now I try to do one every Sunday morning. Unfortunately it's winter here, so I do it at an indoor track that's only 430m long. I am looking forward to spring!I'.ll take your 4.4 but you can keep you ten kilometer run. OK

Well fancying something different for my lunch I made a chicken Korma, from the recipe off this site. I had a very small portion with a tablespoon of rice and one Poppadom (3.6g carbs). My bs went from 4.6 pre to 7.6 2hrs later, 3hrs it was still 6.5. Hmmm don't think I will be making that again in a hurry. Nice though.
I will thanks, unfortunately I have yet to find any bread that doesn't shoot my bs sky high. Rice is also on my no-no list now, which is getting longer than my yes-yes listTry the ready made Tesco Chicken Tikka Masala. http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=259778195
I have it with some low carb bread. Rice is a no-go for me.

Very true, it's all a trial and error exercise until I find a balance I'm happy with.Have you tried cauli rice at all? It's amazingly effective, in terms of adding texture and bulk to a meal, without adding significant carbs. Alternatively, if I can't be bothered to do the cauli, I just have the curry/chilli or whatever in a bowl and tackle it with a fork and spoon, like a very substantial soup/stew.
I can actually cope with rice, but in fairly modest portions. Sometimes I just can't be bothered to cook a little rice, so I just don't bother.
Part of the acceptance of this thing is finding ways to eat some of what we like. Often it isn't going to be the same as before, but it doesn't necessarily mean things are completely off-limits, just because we can't hack the accompaniments.
Snap me too and Im t2 diet only till i see consultant then I think meds will be joining the party.I'm T2 and if I don't look after my diet I can easily go hypo.
