5.1 at bedtime
5.1 this morning

Pleased with that fasting as it equals my lowest ever. :)

I hope everyone with bugs and illness is on the road to recovery.

Up late and 26 Posts to catch up on. 4.9 for me, not my lowest, no doubt due to snotty head cold, but as I expected. Went to bed at 6.7, pre cocoa, so expected a lower one. May go up pre lunch as skipping breakfast as it will be lunchtime by time have done dogs. Ooh, splitting headache :(

Have a bite to eat quickly before you do the dogs .... may be a piece of toast. Might take the headache away. Hope it goes. Take care.

Headache sounds nasty Jan. Maybe something quick and light will help before you for the dogs. Wrap up it looks cold out.

Just a question for the more enlightened than me, when I was at the hospital on Saturday seeing the out of hours GP she did a urine dipstick test and said it contained traces of ketones. Is this usual for Type 2 diabetics or is my pancreas giving up ?

5.7 today.

Big hugs to everyone needing them. It's a rotten time of year - everyone I know is coughing or bunged up. Roll on spring x

Hi Lynn1

Relax :) That is a very good reading @ 2 hours. Anything under 6.6 is great !! Nonetheless, take care

Mike

If you are low carbing you may be in ketosis which is very different to DKA. Which is most often seen in type 1. Ketosis just means your body is burning fats rather than carbs and a by product of this is that Keytones show in your urine

Just spoke to my DSN on the phone. I am still eating some carbs and not going full LCHF. She reckons I might be a late slow developing Type 1. I've been issued with strips for my Glucomen LX plus B-Ketone sensor.

@alibee hope you feel better, reminds me of the time when I had measles at 9. So much pampering and attention, kinda missed the rash was back to same old....

6.1 on my Codefree. I am fighting the urge to retest with my other meter.

7.3 this morning not bad. Had soup and a ham sandwich with some fruit and a soya yogurt last night for tea. Boardom sould be better today as Dad is bringing me some knitting and s friend from church is coming.
Hope everyone is doing well:-)
Glad to hear you'll have visitors today and something to do once they've gone :)
