in DEBENHAM Sales i picked up a very nice V neck sweater. I drowned in the XL (My usual size) So chose what I thought was a L size and when I got home it fitted so snug yet comfortable. Then discovered it was actually M. size I feel like a bloody 20 year old. I went out today and bought two more shirts and another medium sized sweater. If you needed motivation guys n gals its in the clothes, there's almost a Swagger in my walk which I am sure I didn't even have when I though I was the centre of the universe at 20...WOW!!
We'll done, you must feel on top of the world....... Superb. Do we get pictures ;);)

Bloods show am no longer in prediabetic range. Cholesterol up a bit so swap butter with toast for breakfast to porridge again for while..... HbA1c 39 woohoo......
Please can I stay guys? :D - couldn't have done it without you......
**** well done, very happy for you, don't get too carried away.

YOU are truly SUPER DIABETES WOMAN or WONDER GIRL what an inspiration in deed as well as word. You are sO kind, caring and supportive too. Do you know its been 2 months and two weeks since I was diagnosed. Should I get my 3 month Hba1c booked now or after 3 month ends.
Ooh, GIRL please ;).
I've had a year to get things under control. Did well at first, tested a lot. Stopped testing for a while but still watched my diet but last 6month's I'd say, since I really got into the few forums I post on, I've tested properly and regularly and learned a lot. Most importantly, I know I still need to. My Monday treat of fish, chips and mushies put me up to 7.5 after 2.5 hrs (was higher than usual at 5.6 about an hour before it) and didn't eat all my chips so must've been above the ideal 7.8 at 2hrs I think. Usually get away wth it but still got "something" lurking bugwise. Anyhow, back to your question. I got review letter and bloods envelope thru the post. Don't know how your surgery works but I'd give them a ring to ask. No harm showing you are keen and on the ball about your health.

7.3 this morning hospital food doesn't agree with my blood sugar and meds are sky high so that doesn't help. San shows it pluresy back not a chest infection is so will be in for at a week :-(. I am so board.

Thanks JohnD54 :). I won't ;) I'll celebrate wth my bedtime cocoa I think. Had my post chippy treat numbers been lower I may have indulged in a shortbread. Have to save for another day... BTW cocoa is with soya milk and coconut milk powder for sweetness

Considering what you're going through your 7.3 doesn't seem that bad. Hospital is boring isn't it but more-so if you've to stay in bed...... And the over-bed tv I believe costs a lot (if your ward has it). Are any of us near you to pop in and visit? Afraid I'm too far being Preston, Lancashire

Noticed some "likes" by @beardie and just spotted a post pop up. Welcome to the thread/madhouse. :) Don't think I've seen you around before.

9.2 mmol/l. Still feeling unwell but an improvement on yesterday. Day 3 of antibiotics and drinking plenty fluids. Took some painkillers and ate something before injection. Going back to bed for a lay down, still tired.
Take care Eddie
Lorraine:)

6.9 this morning, I decided at 10.30pm to have a treat.....light and creamy icecream, well that and the vodka was clearly a mistake! Off to the pool to walk it off.

Sable Jan - well done and stay!!!
