Hmmm I use accu check fastclix, which has six needles in a rotatable barrel, I use each needle about 10 times, and my readings are ok. By which I mean if I'm being good readings are ok and if I've strayed readings show it . Are you on lchf regime and are you accurately eating the right amount of carbs to protein to fat ? For your bmi.
Hi Clive. That Accu-Chek fastclicx was the same as I used before going on to the new monitor which uses a single needle pricker. I was interested in your reply where you say you use the same needle 10 times over as I know I read somewhere that could cause contamination for the next result.
I just remembered where I saw the thread regarding the use of needles, it has varied responses.

As for the lchf, it is not as simple for me as I had a heart attack at the same time they told me I could be diabetic, so sticking to a strict lchf would not be good for my heart yet on the other hand eating carbs and fibre for my heart wouldn't be good for my B S levels, CATCH 22.
I am trying to balance the 2 out as best I can and next week should be interesting as I have an appointment with the Cardiac Dietician and later in the week an appointment with the Diabetes Dietitian.........................I wonder who will win.
