wow! well done you, you must feel fantastic, i've lost nearly 2 stone now and feel great for it, I know I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't diabetic though, I would have fallen by the wayside a long time ago, so maybe I've got something to thank diabetes for...............Anyway over 5st is a fantastic achievement you should give yourself a huge pat on the back:D
Ahh.. .Thank you kaz! It really does seem to have been so easy compared to previous years doing low cal low fat etc, I'm with you on having diabetes to thank in a way as had I not been diagnosed I wouldn't have found this wonderful forum and learnt so much!!

5.4 today and been to see the GP for my latest HbA1c results. From a eye-watering (literally) 102 in August 2014 the latest result was 39! Been testing for two months and my average in that time across all testing has been 5.2 - pretty pleased with that
Excellent results.. Well done.

Not spoke to you in a while Kim but how's life now and your new job etc ?

All good news! You must have felt so good... :) I posted before about the amount of natural histamines in our food - if we eat too much of one type it can give panic attacks - racing heart, sweating and anxious... but it's probably your hormones.. :)
I'm feeling great susikav! Just need to sort out the night thing, what kind of foods have high histamines?

So true, I have tried losing weight so many times but have put it back on. Now I know it's a lifestyle choice if I want to control my diabetes. So I look at all the high carb things I used to eat and think "poison!". There's always a positive in a negative.

I'm still rocking lchf eddie- as results show!! Enjoying the work at the homeless lodge, I return to my main job in a couple of weeks too, so keeping busy! How are you doing now?
Great news Kim, see no Forixga and woo hoo, no problems ! I am ace but was extra busy last week. How is your daughter now, remember she had her issues ?

Yep, stopped the forxiga about 5 weeks ago and still on track, so that's a relief. My daughter is plodding on, no real change but exploring options to hopefully improve things!

2015-02-10 20.23.57.jpg Here are the two owls I have knitted so far to do 1 for a friends new baby and one for little one who I saw yesterday. They take about a week too knit on and off

Can't remember if I posted this morning or not now. 5.7 today ....... But weird numbers all day. Tried and tested fruit loaf spiked to 7.7 (usually up by no more than 1.0)......down to 4.9 pre lunch.....peanut butter on buttered toast - still 6.1 at 3hrs. Forgot to test b4 tea but at 4 hours Post tea 6.1 battered fish and just a few chips (more batter than usual chippy but plenty greasy) small piece of Wensleydale with cranberry and mug of coffee (half soya milk so minimal carbs - decide to test again before bed at hour later 7.3 ??#%£&@ *** down to 6.3 hour later.....build up of carbs....... Dog wanted out hence the last test but as I picked test kit up to put back in usual place realised it was on the worktop above the drier which had been on a lot yesterday and again today....last two strips in pot fortunately so if the heat did get to them I will know tomo....but less carbs on menu tomo as well.....fritatta for lunch I think
EDIT - up again with dog (poor girl has got the trots) made brew, checked the coffee pod pkt whilst waiting for kettle to boil - the cinnamon flavoured coffee didn't taste sweet but it has got SUGAR (sucre) in it.... That's one mystery solved...
