For someone starting out, you are doing well :)

Thanks Mike. I'm definitely trying to improve my readings before my next meeting with the DN who has set me a target of 47 (I was 53 at diagnosis). Having said that, I'm craving a bowl of porridge this morning.

Yep, but I miss them nonetheless. Come back or I'll spit the dummy you two !!!

Anyhoo ... morning to you all on my Monday nite!! Take care

Mike

Lol, where's your avatar gone? ;)

5.6 at bedtime (forgot to do dinner +2), 5.6 this morning.

Yep, know the cravings all too well. Don't know your DN but she sounds like she's on the ball ..., so do you for that matter :)

7.1 at bedtime 7.7 this morning.

I have a month to get these numbers down. My Hba1c in January was 7.5
What numbers should I see during the day to achieve lower than 7.5 Sorry if thats a stupid question, do you just test loads of times per day and then take the average?

It is not a stupid question but nor is there a simple answer.

Anything below 6.0 would be great and anything below 6.5 would be fine as well. BUT TAKE HEED PLEASE @millysue .....NO-ONE sets your timetable but you. You need to get those numbers down a bit but not much. I hope others will join in with their comments.

Don't we all. It just goes to show how caring the members of this forum are and how reliant we are on each others support. Night Mike. Sweet dreams

It's not a stupid question. No question is stupid if you don't know the answer. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. ;)
You can't anticipate an HbA1c unless you test every 15 minutes throughout the day and night because we all go up and down like yo-yos.
What sort of numbers are you seeing before lunch and tea, and after each meal?
