Type II Back Pain Metformin

Hello UK Sugar-Bees!

This is a great forum! I was diagnosed with diabetes during pregnancy 14 yrs ago, which went away post-partum.

Now the "sweet blood" is back and I've been taking Metformin ER
500mg 2x/day, going on two weeks now.

I have started experiencing the lower back pain that a few of you have also complained of. I'm glad to hear that the aches tend to subside with time. I do feel like I should be consuming more water anyway so I will try.

Hi. I think it's highly unlikely to be the Metformin as I've never heard it cause this sort of problem but of course there are exceptions. I hope it continues to subside.
