Type testing

My dns has diagnosed diabetes burnout and also says that i am not typical of type 2 and so am being refered to consult soon
My question is, as i have been on insulin for a decade or more is there a blood test to determin type
any advice welcome

The main types are type 1, Type 1.5 (Late onset, similar to T1) Type 2 and monogenic ( single gene mutation) in addition to diabetes secondary to another issue (e.g. steroids, pancreatitis etc)
