Type 1 Type1 and on iron tablets but

Hi I am type 1 and have been put on iron tablets ferrous fumarate! I am always active and at the mo on holiday!
My sugars have been 12-27 this week!!
And I can't understand why?
But at 3 I tested and it said 16 and stable.
I took my iron tablet and now just eating my sugars are 27!!! Cuse this be the iron tablets???

Stupid question, but have you checked the ingredients? Are they bound with a carbohydrate or coated in something?

I've no direct experience of ferrous fumarate but according to the web there are no carbs in them. I am taking Floridax with iron solution which has some carbs , I also take a higher dosage tablet which has vitamin C , in all cases I don't see any issues with blood sugar.

Are you getting side effects i.e. stomach problems when taking them ?
