You might find you could lower your bgs simply by getting the conventional 7-8 hours sleep.

Just an idea re testing - if you have enough money, try the Abbott freestyle libre instead of constant finger prick testing. It will give you an excellent 24 hour picture of your blood glucose levels and how you respond to particular foods.
I use it intermittently (when I can afford it!) And it is also a powerful incentive to stay low carb. I also track macros on an app on my phone.
You don't say how long after eating you tested. Sometimes for some people it can take 2 / 3 / even 4 hours for the food to be digested and the bg to rise.Doing strangely well today....

Drank a pint of water, made a coffee(splash of milk). Grabbed my 2 litre bottle of water and set off for work.
