I'm not a doctor, nurse or expert in this field, just another diabetic. According to my meter 8.5 is in the 'normal' range. What was your reading before you ate? Compare the before and afters to know how much your meal drove your sugars up.

Hi @ARASU21

You have a meter so what I would do is test yourself all week. Take one as soon as you wake up in the morning. Then before you eat breakfast. Then 2 hours after. Same thing for lunch and dinner. Keep a record. Also of what you eat. Let us know your results and we may be able to guide you.

Welcome to the forum.

As mentioned earlier, your profile appears to state you are "type 2?" Have you had a formal diagnosis?

One random blood test is not always conclusive you are a diabetic. Meters (pending on type.) can also read 15% higher too.

We cannot diagnose you. That is for your doctor.
If you have concerns & further indication you might be. Please see your GP.

It's always good to be mindful this is a global community with a variety of different levels communicating in one common language on this forum.. Along with difference skill sets in experience.
