hi all

I have seen the consultant to Day. he was amazed at the progress and results I have since starting on the pump.

a1c down to 69 from 114++
insulin down to 67.3 units ( from 700 on mdi)
I am 97% in target with an average bg of 6.5 from high 20s
Carb ratio now Down to 2 per 10 grams.
background down to 1.40 units
and all this from 4/11/15.
he asked could he contact the CCG and tell them the results and the savings made by me going on the pump.
NOT BAD ME THINKS>

Phil that is a fantastic result well done you :)

Brilliant... So glad that you have got such good results. Really so pleased for you.
What a wonderful xmas present!!

You've had a long battle and to see
You needing so much less insulin and great results is wonderful.

You had such a struggle, I am so glad all has worked out so well for you.

I think it gives great hope that sheer perseverance and a consultant/team that is listening and forward rhinking can pay off.....

Congratulations, but it's also fascinating. What is the difference between pump therapy and MDI that has resulted in such a dramatic reduction in insulin needs....? Methinks you should be the subject of some form of research!

It's good to see that a pump has helped you Phil and I hope that your CCG will feel a bit of a gulp at the back of the throat when they read your consultants report.
All the best for 2016
