Hello,

First thanks for the support. Posters in this section have been incredibly helpful and have helped me through dark moments.

On the diabetic, pre diabetic or reactive front: I'm still really thirsty and have minor neuropathy on feet, hands and tongue.

On the digestive front, I ve started supplementing with multivitamin, vitd3, vit E, probiotics and need to add fishy old to this.

I've also starting taking digestive enzymes (papaye and ananas) which has emproved things.

Bread and Co are out of the diet and I get my carbs from veggies and fruit (max 2 pieces) per day.

I find I can sprinkle cheese on a salad but can't eat a piece of cheese.

Endoscopicultrasound on 6th July - the last exam that will see if I don't

Have something like mild pancreatitis left or gall stones somewhere.
Now chicken and egg: what caused the problems, the digestive problems caused the weird non quite diabetic problems or the other way round??? I'm lost!!! Too much fat sets off "pancreatic attacks".....inflammation, etc .

A question for Nosher or Brunneria: if I am 5.6 (fasting) eating 75g of carbs (veg and fruit), would I be diabetic if I ate normally

I believe not!
It the criteria for being diabetic is high blood glucose hba1c levels.
Then your fasting levels being in the normal range is indicative of non diabetic.

I would wait for your proper diagnosis, I would be only guessing!
It wasn't until I read everything I could find that these sort of questions would reveal themselves and having an endocrinologist who does discuss things has answered a lot of chicken and egg questions for me.

You have so much going on, that you will probably find you may not get all your questions answered.

Someone once said patience is a virtue!
But patients are a pain!

Brunneria said that you @nosher8355 eat five times a day. I need to eat 4 times smaller meals, when do you eat? Just wondering....

If I'm in work, I have breakfast about 7am
Small piece of fruit 10am
Midday meal. 12a.m.
Afternoon 3pm
Tea, 6pm
Supper. 9pm.

Small and often is the key and very low carb.

If I'm off work, I fast till afternoon meal.
Then have have three small meals before bed!

Hope that helps.

It is genuinely good for so many different conditions.
As we rely on food, and so many conditions are affected by the type of foods we eat.
We don't need to eat three square meals a day!
My endocrinologist said that the balance between vegetables and fruits should be seven vegetables and three fruit for a healthy person.
But as you finding out, even that can be too much fruit!

What do you eat in the afternoon and tea and supper? Im dexoting at the moment, seems like its the liver-gallbladder (i have Gilberto syndrome- génétic test done so i know that!!) and not pancreas! But good health requires smaller meals

It all depends on what I'm doing, if in work, a piece of meat or some nuts or small piece of fruit. If not working, and first meal, something like gammon and eggs. Or a bowl of homemade soup or an omelette, something cooked, then a salad for tea probably or a homemade curry. Something with veg in with meat mainly!
Then I always have my little treat at supper, full fat Greek yogurt with 85% dark chocolate with some berries of some type. Lovely!

Glad it's not pancreas, will have to look up the other condition, hope it's not some weird condition! Couldn't cope with something like that!;):)

Gilbert's syndrome slows down bile production and causes various things that suffers agree on but docs don't! It's an increase of unconguated bilirubin and is B9. I still have one test EUS on 6th July but my Holistic team are certain it's the gallbladder. I looked back at my labs in 2013, and looks like I've probably had hyperinsulin for years+ pre diabetes but only now I've become really carb Intolerant this year. Nausea has gone now (phew!) And am detoxing to see if it will help. So far so good. I'm a medical mystery

Isn't that the reason why we are here?

Sometimes you wonder why we are so weird? And what makes us that way!
