The Anthill Mob send you a huge virtual medal!I am still on one meal a day, I have now lost 5lbs so I hope some of that is fat. I do not feel hungry and my digestion is coping well. I have run out of test strips and cant afford any more for a couple of weeks, so am assuming all is well with my blood sugar.
I am thirstier than before, and am having bovril a couple of time a day for the salt content.
I have just completed my first successful 24 hour fast, with no shakiness or dizzyness.
in fact, I feel more clear headed than I have for a long time.
I want a Mutley Medal : )))))))))
I got fed up (pun intended) of waiting to see my other consultant to get permission to try to change my diet, so decide to give it a go and see what happens.
I am going to have a big ham salad, with full fat mayo, to celebrate, and then wait until I get hungry again before I eat again. Watch this space..................................

I'm not sayin' nothing..I hate to admit it but @bulkbiker may be right that lowering my carbs a bit more may be beneficial. My digestive issues have not escalated since I started this, except for the white flour in the aforementioned welshcake experiment causing some discomfort.
I will take it steady, day by day, and see what happens. I aint deaded yet!!!
Were you peeing a lot? A lot of the early weight loss can be water and then the "carbing up" may have caused the storage of water again.. that would explain the down and then up. Although I can get rid of a couple of pounds with a trip to the loo... if you get my drift!1 week on, still alive. Digestive system still functioning.
This is odd though. I lost 5lbs on the first 8 hours, and it kept off all week except for the day after my 2 welshcakes, when I put 3lbs back on, and then it went again. My body is weird.
Well done I’m sure if I tried to fast for a day my BG would go hypoI have just completed my first successful 24 hour fast, with no shakiness or dizzyness.

This is inspirational, truly fantastic, well done, a BIG achievement
The main question I wanted to ask, was how do you keep your thoughts away from wanting to eat 'something'? (I can only seem to manage fasting upto about 13.00 from waking, when Ive eaten tea about 18.30 the day before)
(to sidetrack briefly, hope you dont mind - Lastly broth was mentioned, and salts, to satiate & assist with a fast, are there any specific products that can be recommended please?)
I have been gradually, over months, lowering my carbs, so i dont really get hungry any more. I have accepted that eating is fuel, not an emotional crutch, so I dont focus on food really. And I focus on how this is helping me to be able to continue doing things I love doing. This is inspirational, truly fantastic, well done, a BIG achievement
