I am going for a second interview for a driving job on Monday. I ticked "no notifiable illnesses" on the application form. But reading info on this site, I am just plain wrong. I have not notified the DVLA.

I have to withdraw my application. Tell me I am wrong.
Thanks

I might come over calm, but can tell you I am not. I would appreciate some advice.

I have to withdraw my application. Tell me I am wrong. And how I get legal quickly if only to drive my own car again.
Thanks

You only have to notify the DVLA if you use insulin

Ho Phoenix, What a weight off my back. All I read last night seemed to confirm a friends comment. Thank you very much. I can't tell you what a relief it was to read the pages you pointed out. Phoo.

I feel I'll have to mention my diabetes though, even with it being under control. It is a responsible job, driving a mini bus, on a car licence. If I have problems later I,d feel better if they already knew about it. Now I'm worried how best to do this. Have to sleep on it. Thanks again. Off to celebrate with a cup of tea and two slices of burgen rubber.
I rise from the ashes too. Phoo

Yes, you must mention diabetes as your new employer's insurance company will have to be notified as will your own private car insurance.

Thanks Hobs,
Of course your right. No point worrying over it then.
Thanks everyone. 'I have been helped'
