Urinalysis

Well done, I think that is good fasting for prediabetes.

Will tag @daisy1 for new member information which has the testing guidelines.

Is Fasting before lunch?? Because I have just finished Sunday lunch

No fasting is when you haven't eaten for a while eg breakfast means break the overnight fast

So your test was prelunch? If so you need to test again 2 hours after you started your lunch and see the effect of lunch on your levels.

Yes sorry pre lunch . I am going to test again when I can summon up the bravery!!

Test immediately before you eat then again 2 hours after your first bite. Look at the difference from before to after and keep it as low as you can, definitely no more than 2mmol/l rise and preferably a lot less. Keep a food diary including portion sizes and record your levels alongside so you can see which foods are worse for you and need adjusting somehow.

Random testing is a waste of time, strips, and stress levels. You need to be organised with it, and be able to learn from it

Well done on the meter, and for being brave. I knew we would beat you into submission!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are the NICE guidelines
