Is it ok to use pre-injection cleaning wipes on the finger before using the lancet for a BG test or would whatever is on the wipe change the blood in any way for the correct test result
I thought they would be good if I was out for the day but still wanted to test before eating

I use finger wipes which are alcohol based. I have not noticed any difference in my readings.
You can get them in single wipes
×100 for about £4-£5 from Amazon or eBay. Use the same wipe to mop up after!!

I was led to believe that alcohol wipes interfere with bg readings...although I could be wrong! If you can wash hands in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly before testing.

Yes I just wash my hands at home but thought the wipes may be handy when out for the day if no hand washing facilities were available
