Vegetarians: What have you eaten today?

B: Latte.
L: 2 slices Hovis Wheatgerm toasted with butter.
D: 2 rolls with Cheese and Homemade Cucumber Chutney. Bag of Cheesy Wotsits.

7pm: 1 small Cinnamon Pastry Wheel.
 
B: full fat yogurt, flax seeds, cinnamon and spoonful of NAS peanut butter
L: 1/2 cucumber, teaspoon of hummus, full fat cheese and few nuts
D: homemade spinach 'cannelloni' ( aubergine slices rolled up around a spinach, full fat cream cheese, nutmeg and garlic filling)

made home made pizza from scratch with my 8 year old - fresh dough, sauce and mozzarella - ooooh it smelt absolutely delicious!! Thank goodness I had a tasty tea waiting for me.
He wants to make chic chip cookies tomorrow that will be torture :-( he doesn't like any of the sugar free desserts I have made so far.

D: Shop bought Tomato Penne Pasta.

7pm shared a bag of Toffee Popcorn.

L: 1 Banana and 5 Custard Cream Biscuits.
D: Shop bought Quorn Shephards Pie.

Later: sharing Toffee Popcorn with my Partner (don't want to share!!!)

D: 4 Crumpets, Red Leicester Cheese, Sliced Mushrooms toasted.
And 4 Fig Roll Biscuits.
 
@mo53 - Maybe they've all turned ' meat eaters'????

L: Vegetable Cupasoup with slice of Hovis Wheatgerm toasted.
D: Spinach & Ricotta Pasta Parcels (shop bought) with homemade Onion,Celery,Red,Green,Yellow Peppers in a Cheese Sauce.

Later: Greek Yoghurt poured over some grapes.
 
B: Full fat yogurt, flax seeds and cinnamon
Mid day: nuts - emergency supply in handbag - trip to Ikea took a LOT longer than I planned and the restaurant didn't have any low-carb and vegetarian options
L: much later than usual - home made soup (low carb veggies)
D: broccoli and cauliflower omelette plus one square of 85% dark chocolate
 
@ScimamaI can imagine your difficulties. I find low carb eating out tricky enough but to add vegetarianism must make it really difficult. I tend to carry mini cheeses in my handbag . I was desperate on York station one teatime and was delighted when I found a kiosk selling hard boiled egg.
 

Yes it can be very difficult trying to find low carb and veggie food, but lots of places have salads, unfortunately my 'local' Ikea didn't have a salad bar, a few other shops close (Boot, Tesco Home, Asda Home) had loads of sandwiches and wraps but unusually no veggie salad :-(
I frequently have to take my disabled parents to hospital appointments, our two big hospitals have more Costa coffee shops than a shopping mall! I go prepared with a cool bag of cheese, cucumber etc as hospital doesn't have healthy foods (but thats a whole other thread )

At 5pm b.s. was 4.0.
D: Same as yesterday: Spinach & Ricotta Pasta with Sauce.

6.15pm: Slice of Homemade Unsweetened Apple Pie - made specifically for me by my lovely mum-in-law.
 
I am still here in spirit! I haven't posted food for a couple of weeks as I have been ill and my food choices would scare off the newbies

I'd post more often but my meals are pretty the same most days

B. Green smoothie
S. Brazil nuts
L Chinese Quorn chicken with veg and Konica rice
D. 2 egg cheese n mushroom omelette

I make a large smoothie that serves me through the day, add black tea & water makes up the rest of my liquids.
I also neck back a few spoonfuls of cider vinegar, olive oil and fenugreek seeds too.

snack: small piece of cheese as dinner was soooo early

Had a very early dinner as was helping at junior school disco - on the sweet stall the amount of sugar and gelatine sweets the kids ate was shocking, I made a mental note of the few who will be future forum members
