I'm T2, and over the last week or so the skin on my face has been so dry, to the extent that under my eyes are actually cracked and my lips are just raw despite moisturising and applying lip balm constantly. Can diabetes be a cause of this? I was diagnosed with rosacea a while ago but this is feels way worse than that, I've been under severe stress in the last few weeks and have been told I'm suffering from severe mental exhaustion (to the nervous breakdown level), although I know they don't like to call it that anymore. I just feel totally awful, both mentally and physically, can't even go out as my face is so dry I can't apply makeup to cover the redness and I look like a beetroot! Has anyone else experienced this with diabetes, I know it probably sounds like a total vanity thing but it's just getting me down. Thanks.
