Hey guys
I maxed out on all Metformin, Gliclazide and pioglitazone, so my consultant introduced insultard, but that didn't really make any change after 3 month and my HBA1C remained at 12. So a week ago I started on Victoza injections as well as the tablets and insulin. It has worked great with my blood sugar levels and am now down to fasting readings of 8, previously getting 15 upwards. It's brought my daytime readings out of the twenties and to 10 or bellow.
Problem I'm having is the nausea. Has really put me off my food and lost 5lbs this week! GP gave me metrocloperamide 3 times a day, but that not really taking the edge of the nausea. Had my telephone call with diabetes specialist nurse and she is reluctant to stop it, as this is best BS results I had in 9 months. She telling me to try and get through it and has asked me to up the dose to 1.2
Has anyone else experienced the intense nausea? Does it eventually go away and was you able to get through it okay? Anyone in this situation who could offer me advise would be so appreciated.
