Waiting times?

I have been referred to hospital for investigation of another condition and been given the choice of several hospitals to visit. Dies anyone know how to check out waiting times etc?

When you log into the online referral system thingy, it often shows you the average wait to first appointment. Sometimes it doesn't, but mostly it does.

It did, so I now have an appointment within a month and "9 out of 10 patients start treatment within 27 weeks".
Not sure I'm keen on potentially waiting half a year for treatment, even though it is clearly not life threatening!

I have just done this today for an appointment with an eye consultant. I simply Googled the Opthamology department of my local trust and up came all the hospitals in the area with an opthamology clinic that listed the waiting times for appointments and a few related topics. I was quite amazed.
