Am i better walking 2.5km within 2 hours of eating or(as I normally do),2.5-3hrs after eating? Will they both have the same effect on numbers? I usually walk at night(treadmill).

For me, walking while my bloods are higher straight after eating brings them down to normal quicker and stops them going as high.

Though, to be fair, just being up and about (doing the dishes etc.) is noticeably better for my bloods than sitting around after eating.

As a rule, walking is the best way of control to help with reducing spikes.
If you can, fifteen minutes after food, walk for fifteen minutes.
Testing will give you an idea from your pre meal reading.

We are all different so KennyA suggestion to test and see which one is best for you is probably the best idea.
I was a testing fiend when first diagnosed, I tested every possible scenario. For me the best way to ensure my postprandial result was acceptable, especially if I knew my meal was a little carby. Was to have a 20 to 30min walk quite soon after finishing my meal .
I found that if I exercised some hours later it had less of an impact and could cause a slight rise, depending on how energetic I had been.
