Water Filters and Diabetes

My father is Type 2 and has just moved house. The tap water in the new house is horrible and so they are now buying bottled water. When I asked why they didn't use a water filter instead he said he couldn't as he was diabetic. I was amazed at this as I haven't heard anything to back this up (am recently type 2 diagnosed and therefore still in full fact finding mode!). Is this correct? Will he now be consigned to buying water?

Hi, of course you can use filtered water!! No earthly reason why you can't.

Never heard of that...I moved house over 20 times in 50 years! Type 1 for nigh on 30 years!!x

Thanks for your comments, it is going to take some convincing but at least I know it's worth it
