hi all

Don't know if anyone remembers me posting a post about housing associations and how long would it take to be housed. Well last week we recieved a call from one of the housing associations and we have been offered a house in colchester essex, can't wait to get out of this horrible privately rented house with no double glazing, rotting windows, damp on back walls and a massive crack in the outside wall probably subsidence. While the landlady a multi millionaire sits pretty in her massive house with swimming pool and stables and won't spend any money (unless she really has to) on her properties.

I am so pleased i think my stress levels have lowered drastically apart from obviously the stress of packing and unpacking and changing everything over, but once its done its done. NEVER AGAIN am i privatley renting, it makes you feel as if you can't settle (well thats how i felt)

Very good news to read tracey167.

What a shocking and miserable existance you've experienced, no wonder you were under stress.

The only way is up now, so it will soon be nothing but a memory.
Enjoy the rest of your life from here on in.
And here's to a very pleasant future for you.

Tracey that's great news! Colchester is a great area. My little brother lives there at the moment for University and I spend most of my weekends nearby in Maldon. I'm so glad everything's worked out and I hope you'll be very happy there!

Congratulations Tracey I am so pleased for you and I hope you will be very happy in your new home :D I don't know Colchester, but I have relatives in Basildon Essex( but haven't been there for years).

Best wishes RRB

Thank you everyone for your replies, we are all very much looking forward to moving and like you said this house will be a distant memory. It will be great as i don't have to change my consultant or diabetic nurse as they are both based at Colchester Hospital. I will also be able to attend some diabetic meetings once a month which will be great to meet with others with diabetes.
