new to all of this. and have got a problem that has come to light.
I am on 6 units of rapid per 10g of carbs not a big eater and average about 100 carbs per day the last 2 tea times all I had was a salad toms cucumber etc. chicken no bread and last night I had a chicken omelette 0 carbs no bread. and on both times I have had a 0 carb meal at tea time I have had a hypo during the night, is this normal or how do I avoid this happening.

both of the hypo's have been horrible with all the usual but with a strong griping pain in my waist and down my legs and its like some one has got hold of my lower parts and squeezing them for grim death. it doubles me up and I can not move. this will last until the hypo has settled. is this the norm ????.

thanks

no I have not tested it yet will have to do that tonight
thanks

Agree with Novorapidboi it's likely to be your basal insulin, make a small reduction in your dosage then check your bg before bed and again two hourly to see how your bg behaves, if necessary adjust your basal again.

Hi. I agree with the others that you need to check your Basal. Your insulin units seem quite high? What is your weight? Your current diet sounds very good. Perhaps you are in the process of losing weight and this would help reduce insulin needs and enable you to get a better balance.

will test my basal to night. I am 5ft 8 and 12st 6. thanks for all your help with this.
