I think it might be a good idea to spend the extra hour making sure things in the garden etc; are safe from the strong winds that are coming our way.

I am off to the West Midlands Vegan Fair in Wolverhampton. Should be interesting, only £1.00p entry fee,
At least it is a day out.

Just looking forward to a pleasant extra (hour) long day.

Only downside is the hour extra of
suffering me better half's nagging.
(joking/joking/joking) :D

Have a pleasant Sunday folks.

Anna .

Actually is was a great day out, there was plenty of stalls with many different kinds of merchandise to look at eg; woman's make up, clothes, jewelry, various foods and drinks (with free samples) and lots of nice people.
The part I liked most was the simple ingredients that was contained in the majority of foods which was on display.
Much to my surprise I had a simple curry which was very tasty then was told that the best curry's in the world are made in Leicester ( I thought surely not the thing to say in Wolverhampton )
But what impressed me most was the Caribbean takeaway food display.
There was also the usual small amount of ripoff merchants that one most be careful of.

In short, A cheap great day out in all weather for all kinds of Families and even oddball Diabetic grumpy old men like me.

I feel great - I've made up the hour's sleep I lost in March

Great update izzzi - sounds like a good day out !
Am sure you're not a grumpy old bloke at all :)

Hubby is 'only' when he is tired !

Last night went around the house putting all my clocks an hour back .
Hubby did the 2 large kitchen clocks this morning as couldn't reach these .

Last year somehow I managed to put them all a year forward an hour
[goodness knows why or how I managed this one - but I 'did' - maybe I didn't want
the summertime to end :?: ]
Hubby was away working this time last year I remember .
Next day was very :? when the programmes on tv didn't match up with 'time' around me
My carer sorted me out when she turned up [killing herself  as she altered all my clocks/watches ]

Anna .

Another weekend .

As it is creeping towards the incoming winter .

What things do you like to do or enjoy at this time of the year ?

To get us all started - I love the local markets at this time of year :D
All sorts of things pop up on the stalls to taste , try , buy in for xmas gifts etc...
I can easily spend hours happily wandering about a market :)
Plus I love the hustle and bustle 'activity' of them too .
[this is where I was yesterday  ]

Cheese fondue to warm us up on a windy, rainy night (forecast tonight for us) with our friends.

Sounds great Daisy
Is this a popular swiss thing to do and share ?

Anna .

Yes, fondue is a very popular and traditional way to get together with friends for an informal occasion. Gruyère is the traditional cheese used although others can be added like Vacherin. All washed down with Swiss white wine, and a tiny glass of kirsch "to help digestion". The fondue season starts when the weather gets colder.

Sounds lovely Daisy - hope you all have a great nite in tonight
I am having a small homemade cottage pie with my name on it . :)

Yes, the nights are drawing in and it's bringing cold wet weather along.
It's lovely going out with me better half then coming home feeling cold,
and not uncommonly with wet clothes also.
Coming in out of the cold to a warm cosy house I find very enjoyable.
I feel so sorry for those poor folks who have to decide between heating or eating.
We're not well off, we do have to keep a careful eye on the heating, but those
poor folks I mentioned must feel incredibly miserable at times.

The streets appear to becoming ever more busy.
Soon there will be a buzz of excitement building up in the air among
all the hustle and bustle of people getting ready for Christmas.
It'll be here before we know it. :? :D

Pleasant subject, Anna.

willie.

PS. izzzi  Enjoyed reading your posts last week.

I have got a busy night to night, nipping up to Anna's house for some cottage pie to keep me filled up before my flight to Switzerland to join Daisy for a little fondue and a wee nip of kirsch, then back down to earth to sort out Wee Willies "who are they" my favorite game.

However I must agree with Willies Thoughts, for the people that don't have much choice.

What does Wee Willie mean "soon there will be a buzz for Christmas".
There is plenty of Saturdays before Christmas.at least 7.
