I started this at 240, lost 20lbs in the first month (25th to 25th), lost 10 lbs the second month. Now I'm four days out of the end of the third month and I've lost 8 lbs... So though I ate poorly today, I'll be crazy strict the next three days and hopefully get it to 10 lbs to keep my streak going.Go go go.....3lbs a week is terrific and around the weight reduction a number of the specialists predict on a strict LCHF.

I lost only half a kg this week.I was 131.00kgs on monday 9th may
Was 130.00kgs on monday 16th may
I'm hoping to see 129.00kgs or less on monday.
Using 60, 60, 80 mixed insulin per day.
Fbg 4.2 this morning.
I'm so pleased with your post as it is tempting to stop insulin to my detriment. Maybe I would lose more but not wanting to risk sight and toes to find out. Taking inj now. Thank you.the effort to lose weight on insulin is a mighty effort worthy of all praise and admiration
The problem is that as you get nearer to your goal weight, your weightloss slows down. I've been looking back at what I lost since New Year when I started, and I lost 10lbs in the first four weeks, then 7lbs in the next four. And so on. I have lost 2 stone (28lbs) in total and am now 10 stone 11 lbs (151 lbs, I think that's about 68 kilos). I had hoped to be under 10 stone (140lbs) by the end of August but that is looking increasingly unrealistic, especially as I have a holiday to factor in in July.
I am sticking to the low carb eating, but am only averaging about 1lb a week loss now. I can't increase my exercise as I am already out at the gym every evening - my husband and kids never see me! However, I do feel confident that I will get there eventually, and that I will be able to sustain the weight loss and also keep my blood sugar down.
I think adding weight always puts pressure on the back.In terms of upping your exercise, have you considered really simple things like parking further from the supermarket exit, for example. Just really passively upping your paces.
I'm fairly active, but not a gym bunny by any stretch. I made a deal with myself that I don't use the car to run errands within the village, unless the rain is almost joined up, or I can't carry what I might be going out for.
I've always used a bike overseas, where I spend some time every year, so I picked up a fab little bike, from the other side of the village, spookily, from eBay for something like £20. As well as using that to peddle to the PO, I also picked up a static stand for it. It now lives in the garden, and if I'm at a loose end, I just have a little peddle, whilst listening to music or watching something on iPlayer.
It doesn't all have to be structured exercise. Just moving around a bit more can help.
Sending you hugs Vicky, my mum's had high blood pressure for years. Fingers crossed you can bring it downI'm looking forward to next Monday's weigh in for me. I can feel my blood pressure is up due to pain and added weight in march and april.
I'll make an appointment to see nurse if it doesnt improve with weight loss.
Thank you Kevin! I've had a silly grin on my face all dayDiamum5972, congratulations!!! And that blood pressure is amazing

Well done on the HBA1C result, and I hope the op goes well.Throwing in a Sneaky pre Friday weighing 11st 11lb, I've frozen my gym membership as of yesterday due to an impending operation, I had my pre ops assessments yesterday, so this week I've been sticking to the diet plan, which is now basically, eat small meals/snacks when hungry and drink plenty of fluids.
BG has been mostly stable for the past couple of weeks at 5's and 6's all is good.
Also found out at my pre-op assessment that my Origin Hba1c in Dec was 59 not 52 as I'd been previously told by phone, which makes the latest 41 an even better result.
