Weekly weigh in - Fridays

I will do or if it seems they are too energetic for us perhaps we can do memorial meanderings instead. I can walk so far then my leg stops. Sounds weird and hard to explain.

I'm feeling hopefully that I may lose this week. Water retention prevailing.
I'm wondering if my 126kg was a fluke 3 weeks ago. We'll see.
To avoid water weight confusing things I've decided to weigh in after morning ablushions on fridays as I always wake with water balloon tummy.
See you friday. Good luck everyone!

Gained 5kg in the past 3 months - that was when I last weighed in -- brought new scales to replace broken one, not totally happy with new one and may bite the bullet and use the ones in Boots - hate weighing myself in a public space but need to know reality....
Work has finally returned to normal so hoping to get back on track with everything - completed more steps today than I have over the last few months, back to normal working hours so more time to get back into my exercise.
Will be keeping you posted on how I get on.
If anyone has any nice recipes for evening meals I would love to hear from you.

I plateaued for a while there at 77.6 kg, which is what I weighed at my doctor's appointment 2 weeks ago. I had figured I would, as that weight was my standard weight for a long time, and I kind of figured that my easy weight loss so far was my body being eager to get to its preferred weight.

However, last Saturday I weighed myself on a different set of scales (the same set that gave showed 87.7 kg this Christmas) and it showed 77.1, and by Tuesday 76.6, And today, on my regular set of scales? 75.9!!!! I noticed that I had been getting rid of a lot of water this week, but I'm not worried, as my bg levels are firmly below 6.5 whenever I measure.

Morning. Lost another 0.4kg this week - same amount lost each of the last 3 weeks. Down to 92.4 kg. Another 1.3kg and I will have lost 10% of my body weight since diagnosis.

Good morning and well done everyone. I am delighted this week with a 78.8. Losing track of how I am doing but that is a relatively big drop for the first week since the mega birthday fortnight. So since last dn visit in Jan I have lost 2.3kg without suffering or anything harder than reading the carb labels. Next week I might honestly be able to say I have a 35 inch waist. I am sure I read somewhere that is the target size in the USA. Meantime if I breathe in I can beat it.

I took one statin pill. Was all aches and pains the next day so not doing that again. Far too busy on the lottie and we are short handed for planting the herb beds in the exotic garden on Tuesday so I defo cannot risk any feeling poorly days. Still waiting to hear when the scan of my leg will take place. Hope they do my whole right side.

What sort of things do you eat? I like the recipes on diet doctor https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/recipes. There is a recipes section to the forum on this site.

I look up on lots of different low carb recipe sites online some by tv chefs like Tom Kerridges book I bought recently he has lost over 11 stone and his diet is all low carbs, diet doctor, etc but I keep the carbs very low or none existent mostly if I've not got time to do a new recipe I stick with small amounts of meat once a week, but it's usually fish, chicken with any amount of above ground veg, half a plate at least to fill up on.
omelettes filled with mushrooms peppers chorizo or other deli meat small amount cheese tomatoes, anything you like it's only small portions in an omelette. And put a side salad with it,if you want a change lunchtime I have fish and salad mostly mackeral either grilled or cooked in butter, only use healthy fats olive oil or butter for cooking or for dressings.
I haven't got round to the forum recipes yet been very busy, but I enjoy the variety of cooking from scratch so when I can I do a new recipe at least one a week, this week,it was the diet doctor sausage and veg gratin with sour cream and dejon mustard everyone liked it,I used creme fraise instead of sour cream Has supermarket didn't have it. Hope you get some idea of what I eat from the list but experiment with recipes and enjoy just keep the carbs low, but I also do intermittent fasting it's not for everyone and it takes some getting used to but I don't have to count carbs or calories and that is a bonus for me can't be doing with listing every morsel, but that's me! K
