I am now well within a normal weight range, though I'd like to lose a little more. I don't weigh every day (that way lies madness) but I find it interesting how weight fluctuates apart from obvious reasons. Yesterday I weighed myself first thing, then had a busy morning with only a cup of black coffee until 1400. Then I thought just for scientific research, I'd see what I weighed. Mysteriously I'd put on almost a pound. Scale is extremely sensitive and seems to be in good working order. So how the devil did that happen?!
Note - I'm not in the least bothered, but in my calorie-fighting days it would have been a cause of much unhappiness. Today I have lost the stray pound, plus another. So if anyone reading this is floored by sudden weight gain for no good reason, this might cheer you up or at least cause a wry smile.

Me too. I found it helped me understand the weekly fluctuations more if I understood the daily ones.I DO weigh myself every day, first thing, naked, after I empty my bladder. That gives me my most consistent baseline.
Same clothes - i.e. none - same scales in exactly the same place. No other intake except the aforementioned cup of black coffee, and usual output you would expect over the timescale. Intriguing. Were you wearing the same cloths? And using the same scales?
One of my friends had to have monthly checkups (non-diabetes related) with a nurse during this past year. He went to the first appointment straight from work, the nurse insisted he keep his shoes on for the weigh in - great idea, if it wasn't for the fact he wears steel toe capped boots for work.was weighed wearing shoes, which is their standard practise.
