I am Type 1. LADA. Recently no matter how hard I try I am unable to lose weight. I exercise dance at least 3 or 4 times a week. But weight always stays the same. Any suggestions. Nurse not seem interested.

Snap SandraBe…for last 16 months swim 5x a week for 50 mins, intermittent fast 16-8 hours same time, weight loss nothing. Had insulin change( to Toujeo and Fiasp) and Libre 2 from Jan 24 so know carbs generally low 50- 80 g most days, sometimes maybe once a fortnight higher eg 100 g a day, HbA1c c.40-41. Don’t eat much ultra processed food, follow Zoe type recommendations ( 30 different plants a week).. but lost 1 kg total. The diabetic nurse response to lack of weight loss was ‘but your clothes will now feel bigger( ie muscle gain and fat loss), but ‘no’ response was ignored. We are not like type 2 diabetics is the only lesson I have learnt when it comes to weight loss!

I am also in the same boat but have now started doing more resistance training at the gym to build muscle, which burns glucose at a quicker rate, I am aiming to not change how I eat as my diet is fine but to change how I exercise as running 3+ times a week was doing nothing for weight loss.
