So, just put a new sensor on. When it was pulled back, the needle was still showing. Anyone else had that? Had planned to start it in 24 hrs as per usual but need to know it is working so have activated it. The needle was very long

Hi @becca59 Yes that bit does look a bit scary :wideyed: However that bit is there to feed the filament part into your skin so is retracted after you pull the casing off.

As long as it's stuck to your arm - activated and in an hour produces a reading then it should be fine, otherwise call the customer service team for a replacement if it's not working :)

Hi @becca59 not had one with the needle left in my arm yet. Have only had 1 painful one. Fingers crossed for it to be working ok after the 24h wait. Yeah the needle is very long, I dismantle mine so that I can throw the needle in my sharps box and the plastic into the recycling box

Hurrah! Working fine. The needle wasn’t actually left in my arm, but protruding from the appliance applicator. It is of course usually pulled back in by the spring. Not on this occasion. Thanks for replies.
