Well, this is not good.

Don't have the words to adequately portray the disgust I feel at this. Thanks for posting.

Yes, I read that earlier. Dreadful state of affairs. It isn't just the elderly frail that are over medicated. Every age group is affected, and diabetes is only one condition of many thousands. Have a problem, see a doctor, get some pills, condition does not improve, get more pills. To me, it isn't the condition that causes so many problems, it is the pills, and worse if the pills are long term.

Can't you tell, I have a pill phobia.

And Dr Kar puts the onus on the pharmacists to raise the alarm!
Why not just remove the financial incentives for GP's?
@Tom Watson can you do anything about this... not one of Tony's better ideas obviously..!

Nor did I. Only the one post though and not seen for a while.

Indeed. I am now stalking Tom Watson on the internet. How cool is that? FYI I’m a Tory man myself but I’m sure we can all get along.

Back on topic...

And yet we, the patients, sometimes have a devil of a job to have these medications taken off repeat scripts. And some of us are called in to see a GP to explain ourselves! Can you tell that I'm still mad over that?

I had no idea there is a link between low blood sugar levels and dementia! this is awful.
been suggested that there are other Types of Diabetes
alluded to be thought dementia is one of those forms.

has the potential to be one of the 'Complications' so some say.
