Stress, illness, sleep, weather, alcohol, medications not for diabetes, what colour underwear you have on that day, basically just about everything lol BUT your most lethal weapon in control is the food you eat getting that right is the key
The only thing we need to be really concerned with is food.
In the build up to actually being diagnosed with T2, our bodies have been struggling to deal with the carbs in our diet. For a long time probably years in some cases, our bodies have been storing the glucose we can't use. Eventually it just can't find anywhere to hide it away, our storage is full so that extra glucose stays in our blood, causes higher levels and leads to our diagnosis.
Our body will take any and every opportunity it can to use up that stored glucose, there is nothing we can do to stop it, why would we want to?
Think of it like an overstuffed suitcase. The only way to get your suitcase back into shape is to stop forcing clothes into it
Exercise helps, even simple movement such as walking. Some people find high intensity exercise helps them others prefer weight lifting type.
For others is a 15 minutes walk after each meal
The idea is that using the muscles means the glucose circulates and gets used more quickly
