What are you doing now and humorous banter.

Morning all

I have the joys of Horrid Henry courtesy of my granddaughter Hayleigh. It's a cartoon about a very naughty boy and what he gets up to in his everyday life. (Does that sound like @alf_Josiah at all?) He even has a gang of fellow trouble makers called the Purple Hand Gang. All good stuff

This afternoon, after Hayleigh has gone to her dad's, I'm off to that wonderful out of town shopping centre to get some goodies I ordered online and then to the library to collect some books they have managed to reserve for me. I bet you cant guess what I will be doing later on? Yep reading

Enjoy your day

Good afternoon all, lovely outdoors today but I’ve come in now for some shade and because I feared the neighbours would accuse me of frog abuse. I was telling the lazy things to get themselves down to the veg patch and munch some slugs. Now. Wretched things have eaten ALL the dill seedlings.
The frogs hopped off in the opposite direction and hid in the undergrowth.

@Fairygodmother ....also did some gardening this morning but came in as seem to have an infestation of mosquitoes...must be the damp weather recently....got fed up with swatting them and didn’t want to get bitten.....for some reason they seem to like me....

Hello folks, been out of sorts from a health aspect and taking a break from this forum, lurking ( naughty naughty ) yes.

I have read a few posts that concern me recently.
I restarted this thread " What are you doing now and humourus banter ", because I have first hand experience of the positive effects of humour. Diabetes is a serious problem for some people and the uplift they receive from humour is important to them creating a sense of camrardarie.

Can I please ask that if you do not understand the banter or humour please refrain from making any comments. Edit please ask what the thread is about, then you could add to the humour and banter.

Naughty Frogs but they’re so cute

I know, Cumbs, and I love them really. I dislike killing slugs, I have to remove them and usually end up wandering around wondering where I can put them where they won eat us out of house and home. Snails too, it’s when they look around waving their antennae - they’re cute. I was hoping the frogs would do the dirty work while my back was turned, Nature red in tooth and web and all that.

Bmosquitos, Molly. At least we don’t have malaria here - yet - the ague- the sweating sickness, just the dreadful itching. Astral cream used to take the itch away, then the formula was changed; I suspect there was an ingredient that offended regulations. Wish it still did the trick.
We’ve got a nasty biting insect, not quite a horse fly, don’t know what it is. Or where it’s come from. Urgh? Time to be worried?

And yes a sense of humour and a bit of banter doesn’t go amiss

FG I don’t have frogs in this garden but had loads at the previous house I think they’re one of my favourite creatures

Hello Molly
Not been on form today tomorrow hopefully better
@Cumberland ....hope you feel better soon.....:).....just had 40 winks / afternoon nap myself and hoping I will feel a bit more refreshed....waking up at 5am when @Clivethedrive has been getting up to leave for work this week has really done me in, even though I do try to get back to sleep for a while once he has left (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t).....guess that is my excuse for going back to bed in the afternoon...;)...:angelic:...:)
....hope you have a good evening.....what have you got for your dinner...... @Clivethedrive is busy in the kitchen preparing a lasagne for us....:hungry:
