What are you doing now and humorous banter.

Morening folks, just sharpening my ski's so I'm ready for the season.

We met an extraordinary woman in West Africa who’d set up an orphan chimp rescue centre. It was on an estate that’s been owned by a Swiss guy; he’d built a slope of firm sand so he could ski. He’d also built a swimming pool in which she kept a rescued manatee.

I’m cheerful, iced coffee by the pond - so easy to make - and wishing I could get the Disney magic and swim there too.
But. BG are being a pain today. Changed both vials now and hoping there’s not a ‘bug’ hovering.

How lovely sitting in the sunshine next to your pond sounds idyllic

Do you see much of your froggy friends such likeable little creatures

It’s a difficult decision Cumbs, but the sick leave’s good and it gives some time to reflect and mull it over.

Yes, saw a froglet try to do the climb on a lily pad thing but it failed, just propped itself on it. Sitting by the pond’s one of the benefits of retirement - got to celebrate the good parts of this getting older thing!

Yes it’s sad
I like my job I just can’t do the 12 hour shifts anymore

I have options
Retirement ill health
Reduced hours from full time to part time
Redeployment with part time hours

I’m really not that well at the moment but hey ho life goes on

How are you FG
maybe try the reduced hours cumbs and see how you go then if that turns out to be too much then think about the retirement because no job is worth your health goodluck with whatever you decide ....me id retire like a shot none of this id be bored lark i would be a lady of leisure i use the word lady very loosely (and i dont mean im a loose lady ):hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Have you seen a good team of medics Cumbs? A friend asked to be referred to Guys for pump assessment and was stunned by the difference between our local area and a top teaching hospital. And yes, now has a pump.

I have discussed a pump with endocrinologist I don’t want one

I’d like to get the libre sensors I would use those

Loose lady you ..... never

STP though now that’s a different kettle of fish

I'm hot and bothered. Might go change into pyjamas, either that or a swimming costume with slippers.

There's the sounds of the icecream man, wonder how he has done this past month monetary wise.

I guess I should get on with texting all my aging relatives. I just wonder when I will fit into that category being as my kids think I'm old anyway.

Bl00min h*ck I sound depressed today. Think I'll go buy a bottle of wine

I might be leaving the NHS
It’s a total nightmare

Best thing I did was leave work. Yes I'm worse off financially but I dont care. Who says I have to go to upmarket shops to dress and eat?

Give it serious thought @Cumberland and work out your list of pros and cons. No job is worth the stress

I’m getting a lot of information from NHS pensions and will take it too a financial advisor through the CAB

If hubby would let me I would. He thinks I'm an alcoholic lol.

Plus my b12 levels are down due to the extra drinking - no seriously b12 levels can be affected by excessive amounts of alcohol. For me it's a course of yet more horribly painful injections to increase the level

I’ve found that we don’t need as much now as we did when working - simple pleasures and less on car travel. I think an ‘eventualities’ fund is essential for ease of mind, just in case tiles on the roof etc need fixing. It helps, too, if you’ve paid off a mortgage.

I wonder if you could get severance as well as the retirement benefits.
Do you belong to a Union? If you do it might be worth getting advice from them too.
