Hi Sharon! Good you're eating then testing. One thing to remember: when you have your red wine with a meal then report a lower increase in blood sugar rise, remember it doesn't necessarily mean the food you had was better. The red wine will lower the amount your blood sugar rose by. Not a bad thing: just means you could draw the wrong conclusions! I love my red wine. Don't drink it every day, but when I do I have one of my more carby meals to take advantage! Some will say that's terrible, but if I'm going to have the wine anyway, might as well get some benefit! :thumbup:
Some people say it then raises your BG later, but I've never found that. Anyway, just thought you should be aware.
