Hi folks, just wondered what your knowledgeable views are on this. I've recently been having phone consultations with my GP due to him saying i don't need to go in and see him. I've rang when requested, however, this morning i decided to take my results in over the past 14 days so he could have a proper look at them, i told the receptionist that i'd phone this evening as arranged to discuss it with him. Along with the individual tests i gave the 7,14 and 30 day averages:
7 days = 10.9 14 days = 11.7 30 days = 17.8
Yes, for me, these are truly wonderfully reduced results as some of you know
. Within 30 minutes of dropping them off the practice nurse rang me to say that the GP had looked at these figures and he is now more than happy with them
. He said that i can remain on the same medication that i'm taking at present and i can contact him in "about" 6 weeks time with further results so he can get an idea of how i'm doing. When i asked could i have a quick word with him about it she said he was too busy to speak to me
.
The problem i have with this is i think my levels seem a bit on the high side still, i know that the averages mean that i've had some high and low results but i still think these are on the high side to leave it for another 6 weeks or so. Also how can i give him further results when she also told me that he'd said that i must now only test every 4 days and only once a day  . Oh, she did say that i had to vary the times so that i would have a fair average which means that he wants me to test once a week :x . Can anyone explain to me how he can get an average over a six week period with only six test results :? .
Sorry to ramble on but i could really do with your opinions please !!!!!!
