I am on 100mg metformin, 500 x 2 a day so am trying to get off that. I am sure it gives me leg muscle pain and a few other odd things.About the same dawn figures as me , I would not worry , all your figure are within guidelines
[QUOTE="Wurst, post: 979300, member: 44101" if I eat carbs or fat after 8 pm then my fasting blood sugar is over 5.5 mmol (where I typically want to be under 5.5. mmol at all times.)
No thats interesting. I tend to eat latish at night 8pm around, so will check that out. Checked after breakfast and bg 7.8....went a jogged [I laughingly call it that but its a fast shuffle 1min on 1min off, and after 1/2 hour it was 5.5...hey happy dayz. I always struggle at running so looks like I have just found a new regime...
I would only screw my knees up and would pay for it in later life.
You are certainly aiming for tight control. I agree about carb timing though. Any evening carbs result in massive dawn phenomenon for me. I tend to find anything with high protein post 8pm also causes gluconeogenesis during the night so I get a slower increase, and not much DP. Cheese with marmite spread on top before bed is fine though!if I eat carbs or fat after 8 pm then my fasting blood sugar is over 5.5 mmol (where I typically want to be under 5.5. mmol at all times.)
