Because I was approaching them to take(got it right at first try!) a picture so they were getting ready to flee! Those 4 little poults are appealing @Antje77 . I'm curious to know why the birds in that photo are all facing the same way
Well that got me into trouble again today. Trying to describe the song to friends, I started searching YouTube and Google for "kill dictators Dutch". Not only did it not come up, but I think I'm now on mI6 most wanted!!! I hadn't realised what I was searching!!!
Sounds like a difficult day hugs from me - plus a well done for sticking with the low carb.Emotional and busy day today.
Started with vets visit with 19 year old cat. Expecting bad news, she just put everything down to age and "he's doing very well"
Then got 88 year old to walk in clinic. He'd had a fall yesterday and was refusing to go to main a&e because of the waits. Yes he has a broken wrist. No more driving! Needs good hand for walking stick so effectively no hands. BUT still planning on going on cruise next Wednesday!! I want to be on what he's on!
Then a routine mammogram. No worries but ladies will understand the pain and indignity.
Oh, and today was my sister birthday but she died last Christmas so various emotional messages and supporting others.
Exhausted and really enjoying stiff drink (just the one!)
Food was leftover cold chicken and avocado. Then frittata with leftover roast veg and bacon.
Well done on your first day but must be difficult doing it again tomorrow. Treats and a good catch up snooze needed before your early morning alarm! That's 4 hugs for you today @MrsA2 , if I counted correctly.
And a winner for making it to the end of this ridiculous day and still eating sensible!
Enjoy your very well deserved drink!
The gully sucking job went better than expected, and I quite enjoyed it too, even if my feet disagree.
Managing diabetes while gully sucking needs a bit more practice, but I'll get there in the end.
Now I only need to not give in to being too tired to go to bed, the alarm goes off at 5:30 again tomorrow morning, and I'm an hour ahead of you. And last night I only had five and a half hours of sleep...

It's really second nature now, mostly! No effort, except to resist temptationplus a well done for sticking with the low carb.
I bet you sleep better tonight. All that exercise and less worryAnd last night I only had five and a half hours of sleep...
Can you accompany him on the cruise?Emotional and busy day today.

Yes @MommaE. My vegetable plot, which is more akin to a nature reserve than a garden, is beginning to look like rain forest. Ferns have grown lush. while tall plants like Hemp Agrimony and Hogweed have shot up in recent weeks. At least my veggie garden is enjoying the rain, and it’s not actually cold, just wet.
Hope you manage to get back on the wagon tomorrow and stay there until your hols - maybe as it's a shorter defined period of time it may help?@MrsA2 lots of hugs from me too.
@Antje77 great to hear the job went well and hope you get some good sleep. I use lavender oil for restless legs at night, and I really think it helps me sleep better too.
@MommaE and @LivingLightly I also have a temperate rainforest for a garden now! I'm embracing the explorer vibe and may buy a pith hat.
I've been off the rails as most people will probably have guessed from my lack of posting. There isn't much positive to say about that, I hope today will be the last day off the rails until I go on holiday at the beginning of July. The holiday will be off the rails, but it's only a few days, then I should be able to return to low carb and fasting.
I've had a lovely morning in the garden, thoroughly enjoying a short spell of sunshine and pottering around with flowers. My general mood is not too bad but I have got the anxiety attacks at night again, so way too much to be a coincidence - it is the carbs that cause them I think. The misery of carbs is so overwhelming I feel such an idiot that I can't abstain. I will keep trying though!
Pleased you've got your PC working I've got a mini PC and love it as with a full sized keyboard and screen its great - like you I learnt to touch type many years ago and find it much easier. Better too I think for my neck muscles as you adopt a much better position rather than hunched over a small phone screen.Just got my new desktop PC up and running - keyboard feels very odd, but t does give very satisfying clicks when the keys are pressed. Much better for an old-time secretary who learned to type on a stand-up-and-beg typewriter. So now I can get back online. Odd, my typing seems to be much more accurate with this keyboard.
Anyway, breakfast was 2 RyVitas with mashed avocado piled onto them.
Just had a whole apple - cut into slices because my teeth won't allow me to bite chunks out of an apple these days.
Expect to cook some low carb noodles and add a few veggies to them for a 2nd meal.
His wife is taking that dutyCan you accompany him on the cruise?
Sneak into their suitcase? His wife is taking that duty
Have you tried myfitnesspal for logging your food? I find it useful and relatively straight forward to use.Woke feeling a bit emotionally wobbly and tired, not unexpected after yesterday.
Went for a long walk with hubby. Had a small breakfast of yoghurt seeds and raspberries first but we walked further than intended so was very hungry when home again.
Lunch was cold meats, mayo and cold broccoli. 38g cheese and 6 brazils
Bit of moochy shop. Bought a dress £18.
D: cold chicken with hot broccoli, greens and half a carrot , olive oil. 4 brazils, 85% chocolate and cream.
I'm back to logging my food in carb Manager as I'm putting on weight and don't like it. Trying to get back to strict keto.
Remembering why I gave up on Carb manager, its so American and has even more foods in with the wrong values than before. "Cups" and "servings".
Will have to slowly build my own database of foods.
Weighing food too, in case it's portions that have increased.
Today I'm slightly over on protein, 40g carbs (but all from vegs I don't trust the figures on) and only 2/3 fats I was supposed to.
Interesting times ahead
