That was lovely, thank you.Oh Rosemary please do go and enjoy yourself and your family and friends wholeheartedly. T2 can step aside for a while, side effects or complications take years to develop and I reckon you've already beaten the odds. Life is for living and a few enjoyable meals and gatherings are probably worth their weight in making you feel good and loved.
My daughter-in-law's Mum. (I'm 86..) She found out on her birthday that she has to have chemo for Myeloma. Are you celebrating your 80th birthday or somebody else's on Saturday? @RosemaryJackson
An alternative view….
I would have been happy to pay if there would have been someone to pay to, but there wasn't. And I couldn't be there at a time they are open. And I still wanted to swim but I was in a hurry because I had a breakfast date with a good friend, so no time to search for a different spot. And I am somewhat of an anarchist too, depending on circumstances. An alternative view….
You trespassed and defrauded the guys who are trying to earn a living, have mortgaged their lives to lease the dock from the city council, clean and make safe the dock walls, removed debris and WW2 bombs from the bottom of it, and test water quality, provide a safe access to and from the water, provide clean showering and changing facilities., provide safe sessions with lifeguards, floats, etc., and meet all government health and safety requirements, but still only charge £5 for their sessions, that have to be booked to conform with their licence to operate.
But never mind, you are an anarchist, after all.
Yes, the owners are known to me.I will reimburse them as a special treat to you, and a sign of respect to them, for all they are trying to achieve.
Thanks for that offer. I wouldn't be surprised if another holiday here is proposed sometime.@Annb _ if you are likely to have Hugo again, mention it beforehand and I can give you some easy tips and wrinkles to change the behaviours you don't want. All easy, kind and positive-training based.
I will forward this with payment. Please let them know I loved their swimming spot and I appreciate what they do. And tell them I'm sorry for not being sorry to have breached the rules, it added a bit of enjoyable excitement to my swim!
Promise to not do it again though, if I ever come all the way to Liverpool again I'll take some more time to find a non illegal swimming spot, or I'll join them during opening hours (if they'll still have me that is...).
Please do, and include my picture as well, they are welcome to use it as an example of ****** tourists abusing their good work and bragging about it too!I will forward this with payment.
They will likely see the funny side, but would probably point out that there are 43 docks in Liverpool. This one is only one of a few that has safety considerations.
You made a good choice for your stolen swim.

What a beautiful craft! @Antje77.Next week will be interesting again, foodwise.
I haven't really gotten into making regular meals yet after two weeks of holidays, although I've eaten well, low carb, and some very decent meals too.
I'll be doing a 7 day sailing trip with a group as a deckhand. Usually, the skipper and deckhand eat with the group, with diabetes it's a bit more complicated. So I'll bring various foods that can be eaten without cooking, I hope I can share some of their meals, and if not, veggies will likely be scarce for a week.
I don't mind somewhat erratic numbers for a bit, but I am partly responsible for some 30 inexperienced people on a sailing ship and I can't use surprise hypos while working a ship like this, it's only the skipper and I, the rest are paying guests.
The evening meals give some more room for dosing errors, we'll usually spend the night in a harbour and not at sea, but still.
Looking forward to it!
My skipper is someone I've known since 1998 when I first started doing this work, we started around the same time. Never sailed together though, but there will be lots of shared memories.

Oh no you mentioned Christmas! I was in Birmingham for day yesterday and was horrified how many shops were playing Christmas music the German Christmas market starts on 1st of November but I thought tunes too early!Eek,that sounds a bit hairy with the planes @Annb, I am not a big fan of flying at the best of times. It’s ok rebooting a home computer, not so sure about a flying machine
Sounds like you have a fun week ahead @Antje77 hope it all goes well and diabetes behaves itself. Hope you have a smooth journey @MrsA2
Just had a much needed sort out of freezer and pantry, made a food plan for the week to use up bits and bobs to make room for Christmas
Sorry,I’ll sit on the naughty step, it’s only because we are going on holiday next week, trying to get organised a bit. What a brilliant prize to win, very jealous, love DishoomOh no you mentioned Christmas! Btw went to Dishoom yesterday and had a few wonderful lunch although it should have been an expensive meal as I was treating 5 people because of family birthdays. However I was given some sort of key ring token when I was there for my summer birthday. The token allows you to roll a dice once after the meal - to see if you roll a six and amazingly I did! It meant the whole bill meal and drinks was on the house it felt like winning the lottery.
Enjoy your holsSorry,I’ll sit on the naughty step, it’s only because we are going on holiday next week, trying to get organised a bit. What a brilliant prize to win, very jealous, love Dishoom
Hope your journey went well today and you enjoy your holsBeen having tech problems a lot today.
First phone and apps that didn't seem to want me to check in for a flight tomorrow. That swallowed most of the morning so I missed breakfast. Got to dance class then couple of errands meant it was a 2pm lunch of 2 scrambled eggs, bit of cheese. 2 sgq hm lc nasty tasting chocolate cake covered with plain greek yoghurt.
Hair cut, salon has new massage chairs while your hair is being washed. Very relaxing.
D: 3 eggs omelette with cheese and ham, salad and a fewcarrots.
The fridge is now bare.
Internet has been playing up all evening. Hope it lasts for me to catch up on forum posts.
Might try fasting until tomorrow evening as most of my day will be spent on trains and airport and I haven't prepared food to take. Will have couple of nutbars at the ready in case.
Wow amazing boat hope your week sailing goes well and weather good.Next week will be interesting again, foodwise.
