Skipped breakfast
Ended up getting to Heathrow 3 hours early so had a chicken and bacon salad with a glass of wine to pass the time.
Had some unexpected but very pleasant food ( bites of salmon and beef, and a scone with clotted cream) on the plane so not very hungry in the evening.
Had a walk around town then had a glass of wine in a bar
And cheese and ham roll ups when back in the hotel room.
We move to a house tomorrow so more chance of hm lc eating.
We will be looking after 2 young cats for a week.

They made it to the ferry with half an hour to spare. Just - 22.30 arrived home. Alistair sounds very tired on the phone. Still - home safe and sound. I daresay Hugo was over the moon to see them again.

What a wonderful surprise.

Cafe breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast with extra bacon. Was huge.
Skipped lunch
D : Thai curry overlooking a beautiful bay. Bought half home for another day.

Found this as local supermarket. 6.7g carbs per 100g but oh so yummy! Has 10% cream added

Evening all

I've posted today's meals in the main thread, as always. It's birthday eve tonight, so shall probably celebrate with a nightcap before hitting the hay.
Well you could get a long lie in in the morning, with the clocks going back. I would make that nightcap a double if it were me. Cheers!

Breakfast: salmon mayo with a couple of RyVita.

2nd meal should have been beef in a spicy coconut sauce, but Neil couldn't get coconut milk this week so will have to think of a different spicy sauce to go with it. Maybe look further east than India and make a Chinese style flavoured dish. It will have to be slow cooked though because it's braising steak.
