"What have you eaten" Parallel Chat

Why does this forum keep breaking down? Several times now, I've had the message that there was a problem with the site and to try again later. As it happens, I still have this open from earlier on. Perhaps it will let me post, even if I can't open new messages.

NO. "Oops we ran into some problems. Try again later."

EDIT: But it did take the post anyway and the first one. Sorry that's led to some duplication.

Breakfast: cold sausages and RyVita. Coffee.

BG dropped too low - not low enough to make me feel bad, so had a couple of digestive biscuits and more coffee.

2nd meal will be c***-a-leekie soup. I'd made, and frozen 2 litres of soup - 1 litre of Orange soup and one litre of c***-a-leekie for guests I was expecting. I had them ready made in the freezer and defrosted them overnight. Then the lunch date was called off due to a last minute emergency. I don't think they should go back into the freezer so I'll try to get Alistair to take away the Orange soup and a pack of rolls. I'll be able to get through one litre of chicken soup today and tomorrow.

Breakfast: Greek yoghurt, chia seeds, peanut butter (didn't pick any berries up in the end)
Mid morning: cappuccino
Lunch: 2egg omelette with spring onions, peppers and grated cheese, slice of bread
Mid afternoon: couple of jelly babies (libre showing 4.1 while at my gardening group, and I'd managed to leave my actual meter at home)
Dinner: 2 pork medallions, sprouts, carrots, broccoli, slice of bread. Reduced my abasaglar by 1 unit this evening, but my BG has dropped from 4.8 to 4.6 since I ate at quarter past six according to my libre. Feeling a bit edgy and having a cup of tea in a minute.

Edit to add: OK, libre now showing 6, fingerprick is 6.3. Feeing less edgy.

Yes!!! I'm MrsA2 but couldn't get in at all so had to create a new account to try to get support or mods to let me back in. So frustrating. Still waiting to hear from anyone. It's nearly midnight Friday so expect I'll have to remain Lockedout for a few days yet

Bowdlerized soup for breakfast today. The dentist took away my false teeth to get the cracked plate repaired and I shan't have teeth until Wednesday afternoon. Guess I'll be living on soup or scrambled egg until then.

I have one more serving of the soup left (might add some buckwheat noodles to it to give it a bit more bulk), so that's the 2nd meal today. Must at least do the prep for some more soup tomorrow - maybe tomato or maybe lentil, or maybe a mixture of both.

Hi all. Ive been trying to stay off carbs as much as possible. Ive had salad, sausages, egg mayo, ham, cottage cheese, cole slaw and pickled gherkins. My level is still higher than I like it to be. I am doing chair yoga because I can't walk far but obviously that's not enough. I'm at a loss.

Breakfast was Greek yoghurt, peanut butter and chia seeds again. All was OK for the first hour - BG rose about 1 unit, dropped another, then shot up to 10 after 2 hours. Guess that means dropping the abasaglar 1 unit was a bad idea.

Finally got my lazy a** to aldi and picked up some raspberries for tomorrow, and some double cream - I'm really missing coffee at home in the mornings at the moment, have seen a lot of ppl on here recommending cream instead of milk to avoid BG rises. Will experiment in the morning.

Self destruct mode for lunch - today's support worker turned up an hour early and was one that I find it really hard to get on with - beans on toast just to make it as short a visit as possible, and 2 finger kitkat bc stupid emotional eating.

Cappuccino this aft when i dropped to 4.7.
Chickpea curry and rice for tea later.
E2a: and salad

Edited further to add: just gone to give my cat her meds for the evening, and my lunchtime worker seems to have binned them. I am very not happy.

I think it's not your account but the forum having issues. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I'd keep trying with your usual account and see what happens.

I saw you posted on both Carson and KennyA's profile to ask for help from any mod. This will only be seen if they happen to be online.
The quickest way to alert the mod team is post something and report your post, that way all the mods get an alert. ;)

But if you can't get onto the site to post anything, you can't report it that way. I've gone in to the forum on a thread I hadn't closed down earlier and am hoping it will accept the post because, as before, logging in for a refreshed page just get the "Oops" message.

Finally caught up on all the posts I'd missed, phew!

Thursday
2 scrambled eggs breakfast cwc
Skipped lunch as there was nothing suitable in cafe menu.
Meant I picked at a fair amount of cheese while preparing dinner.
D: lamb kofta with veg and tzatsiki. Prosecco

Friday
Can't remember breakfast. Cwc.
Short dog walk followed by a long strenuous one. Had packed a box of nuts and cheese, and a sandwich for hubby (and ham and cheese for the dog) which we needed as both got very short on energy halfway

Then mid afternoon a visit to a Scotch whisky distillery with tasters of 3. Limited myself to small sips and brought hubbys air home (as nominated driver)

D: 95% sausages with veg and tzatsiki. A single malt. Benromach 10.

Saturday
Cwc
Long dog walk fasted.
12:00 4 rashers bacon and 2 fried eggs
Mid afternoon 2 proper milk chocolates hubby had bought as "a treat"
D: 2 large beefburgers (no buns) on salad.1 small Prosecco. Single malt Benromach 15.

This is silly. I did get the Oops message, but now I see it has accepted the post but is still showing it as unposted. I'm going to try again, so if you see a duplicate, with a bit added on - sorry.

Just realised I missed posting Monday's food

Can't remember breakfast.
L in a pub. Small Cullen skink soup and half an egg mayo sandwich. Mint tea
D in a restaurant. Starter of langoustine. Tasty but so difficult to eat. Crispy salad chicken bowl. Single malt Tobermory 12, very nice.

Not testing, think perhaps I should as too many treats on this holiday

I've not had any "oops" messages since getting back on this evening. Fingers crossed.

Yes you're right about not being able to get help if logged out. I'd assumed the problems were because we are moving around and I'm using vpns so after all the usual turn off and on again, I thought I'd try logging out and in again but having logged out it would not let me back in again "oops security issue". So eventually I set up a new account using a different email address and used that.
Very annoying.
Also now I can't find a way of logging out on my phone..and I need to remember to delete my Lockedout account...
