I think the biggest clue is whether the listing is measured in oz/cups or gm - always worth double checking if it's a new addition to your 'repertoire'.@Brunneria or anyone else...help! I have just been looking again at MFP (not obsessed honest lol) and notice that my carbs yesterday were "total carbs 42g, dietary fiber 12g". Fiber spelled the USA way. Does this mean that I actually had 30g net carbs?
Good thinking. I will avoid using values from brands I have never heard of too in case they are American. I have just noticed there is a button called "my food". Maybe that means you can make your own list. Sorry to be such a noob!I think the biggest clue is whether the listing is measured in oz/cups or gm - always worth double checking if it's a new addition to your 'repertoire'.

Diagnosed prediabetic Easter 2014. Just left to get on with it, no guidance or help from GP. Every day I'm learning something new.

Freecycle - how aptDeb - Unrelated to diabetes, I picked up a bike about a year ago, on eBay. I just wanted something to use to nip to the Post Office, or the village shop, and be cheap enough that I wouldn't have to weep into my Weetabix. Well, it was before my diagnosis.
It came from a family on the other side of the village. Their daughter had outgrown it. It's an adult sized bike, so I dread to think how tall the daughter must be! It's purple and white metalic, and I love it. I paid the princely sum of £20.27, according to my eBay history. What a bargain! I walked there and peddled back.
Maybe you could try eBay or Freecycle for a cheerful bargain?
