What have you eaten today?

Back on track and having good days.

on waking bg 6.4, pre brekfast 7.3! Brekkie-allbran and semiskimmed milk, 1 boiled egg, post 2hr 7.0

lunch-2 lamb and mint burgers in lettuce wraps with cucumber, spring onion, sour cream and little bit of jalapeno chilli relish. Awesome!
Pre 4.9, 2 hr post 5.4

Dinner, sausages, butternut squash and cauli mash, peas carrots, sprouts, sweetcorn, little gravy.
pre 6.0, post 6.4
 
Breakfast: leftover mince from last night. Mmmm garlic! Coffee with cream

Lunch: pork scratchings, Edam slices, peanut 9 bar

Dinner: local butchers sausages, tomato 'ketchup' - tinned tom, onion, garlic and dash of reggae reggae sauce, mange touts, then strawberries n cream
 
Dont ask!! After a lunch out/window fitter/elderly mother/paramedic day I had to grab what I could but in my own defence I still resisted the chippy chips apart from about 5 and requested no chips with the lunch and had bacin and egg while all around had pizza. The resisting if temptation was more tiring that the events of the day.
 
Breakfast - bacon and scrambled egg
Lunch - wasn't hungry so 3 of my frozen yogurt ice cube shapes
Dinner - at work, salmon and cucumber, mayo
When home strawberries, cream and 1 square 90% dark choc grated on top
Highest level today 6.1 2hrs after frozen yogurt shapes
 
Ate the same today as yesterday...plus some peanuts.

How many calories are you getting through a day Kimbo? Some of your diaries look quite low cal to me. I appreciate you may also be looking for some weight loss.

I was just about to post something similar. It doesn't sound like enough calories or fibre to me. Sorry if I'm overstepping the mark.
 
Well, yes, I am looking for a nice steady weight loss too but focusing more on lchf ( probably higher fat than carbs rather than totally sky high fat !!)I know some days I don't seem to eat that much - two reasons, first I really don't feel so hungry since going lchf, second , when working 2-8pm I can't always eat much before work! Next two days I'm on 9-5 and 9-3 so evening meal will most likely improve!
 

Much as I appreciate you are trying to lose weight, you do still have to eat well, otherwise at some point your body will do one of two things:

  • Go into starvation mode. If that happens your metabolism will slow up and everything gets trickier
  • Or you will have a day when you eat the fridge, the larder and Waitrose
If your working hours cause you issues, how was that different before LCHF?
 
Before diagnosed and lchf 7 weeks ago I often had cereal for breakfast, maybe skipped lunch, took maybe sandwich to work, crisps etc then snacked on biscuits chocolate etc when home
 
So, why can't you eat before work now? I know I'm being challenging, but much of what we eat, or don't, is habit. Under eating is as bad a habit as over eating. But I know it's hard.

Please, just don't starve yourself or you'll be in big trouble when it comes time to stop losing weight.

Breakfast turkey rashers, scrambled egg
Lunch tablespoon egg and tomato mayo, slice ham, 1oz cheese, few strawbs and Greek yogurt
Dinner out at gig so tuna and green bean salad in box
Snack 1 sq 85% chocolate, 1oz cheese and 4 crisps after gig.
 
Yesterday
Small porridge
Was out all day at elephant & crocodile farm so had lunch at 3 pm

Which consisted of a chicken burger, fries and a sprite!! Within an hour I was fast asleep, woke at 5:30 and tested and was on 9.3, dread to think what it was before, but high as it put me to sleep.
Did some exercise and pre dinner 6.9
Beef soup/stew carrots onions and tomatoes, no pudding.

Breakfast mushrooms. Dry fried egg bacon
Lunch hot sausage from deli and slice turkey
Dinner small portion ragu sauce with courgette pasta cheese and green slalad
 
Breakfast - couldn't face bacon and egg today, so 1 weetabix- I seem ok with them as 6.1 2 hours later (didn't get chance at work to do 1 hour)
Lunch- prawns, cucumber and full fat Philly
Dinner - 2 all beef burgers topped with cheese and bed of salad, mayo
Strawberries and cream
 
Breakfast and lunch same as yesterday. Bit of an odd concoction for tea as I couldn't decide what I wanted ended up with cabbage and sweetcorn (parboiled and then fried in butter), 2 fried eggs and a pork steak. Not too bad though, bg 2 hrs later 4.9, might have this again! x
 
A weird one today for me too.

Brekkie: tinned salmon with mayo and lemon juice. Water with Lepicol :***: In it, because I've decided that the one drawback with very low carbing is the... er... extended gut transit time.

Lunch: the other half of the tin of salmon and a chunk of Brie that I had accidentally left in the fridge at work for several days. It was only the complaints about the pong that reminded me! I scuttled in and removed it when no one was around . Then ate it at my desk. So anyone with a sense of smell knew exactly who was responsible.

Dinner: homemade burger, no bun, cauli cheese and green beans, and a bought slice of cheesecake, minus the biscuit base.
