Your are right there, but once in a while you have to let your hair down, and today's my once a month.

Ah,............I'll assume you mean you've been calorie virtuous.

It can be our little secret.

Nobody reads this anyway, right?

PIZZA

And it was fab.

Although next time, when I precook the pizza base, I will flip it and bake it on both sides, not just one.

The photo looked really nice. Id love to try it. Was it as filling as they said?

Yes and no.

The base was filling (it's basically just mozzarella and almond flour.) but nowhere near as bloating and leaden as traditional pizza base.
And I used the recipe quantities to feed the two of us.

But... If I had spread the base thinner it would have made a bigger pizza, which would have had more filling on it...

My final pizza was as big round as a large dinner plate, so we had half of that each. I think I could have made it a third bigger. Maybe.

Mr B wanted dessert. I may snack later.

(I made enough marinara to do another one, so that will be tomorrow.

Update on the cheesy almond bread. It turned out like a brick! I must have done something wrong. I don't have a 1lb loaf tin so used a bigger 2 lb tin and upped ingredients by a third. I watched the cooking time and it looked and smelled great. But when it cooled you could have used it as a house brick. It tasted like cardboard. Hey ho. Back to the drawing board

B: berries, yogurt and nuts
L: Caesar salad
D: chicken and veg stir fry

Brunch: Wensleydale omelette and ketchup.

Dinner: guacamole, mixed bean salad, Edam Doritos, Mexican cauliflower bake. (Making blog food for photos so not normal quantities of food production. Will be eating this for days now!)

B nothing as didn't feel great. (Subsequent testing put me at 5.6 so no probs there
L picked at square of brie
D still not great so mug of bovril and nibbled at rye ryvita
Testing at 5 on average.
Feel as if I'm sickening for something...so many in my village have early variations of proper nasty flu. So hope I'm not getting it
